which God is perfectly glorified and men are sanctified, Christ always associates His beloved Spouse, the Church, which invokes her Lord and through Him worships the Eternal Father.

The Liturgy is the exercise of the priesthood of Jesus Christ. In it, man's sanctification is accomplished, and thus the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ, that is, the Head and its members, performs the full public worship. Every liturgical celebration, as the work of Christ the Priest and of His Body, which is the Church, is a sacred action par excellence, unmatched by any other action of the Church.

The Christ is always present in His Church, especially in liturgical action. He is present in the sacrifice of the Mass, both in the person of the minister, "offering Himself now through the ministry of the priests who then offered Himself on the cross," and especially under the Eucharistic species. He is present with His power in the Sacraments, so that when someone baptizes, it is Christ who baptizes. He is present in His word, for when the Holy Scripture is read in the Church, it is He who speaks. Finally, He is present when the Church prays and sings psalms, the same who promised: "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them" (Mt 18:20).
